Second week of a six-week series called The End of All Things. In this episode we explore Revelation 4. Chapters 4 and 5 are the heart of the Book of Revelation. We hear again how God’s will is done through the crucified and risen Christ. The first visions that John describes are not of disaster but of worship. All creation joins in praise! The actions that occur in the heavenly throne room show that in the proper order of things, all creation is oriented toward its creator. Human beings are not at the center. God is at the center. In this episode, we explore the symbolism of the 24 elders, the creatures, and the white robes and crowns. How do these visions inform us about the character of God? How does it inform us about worship and praise? How do we see God in everything?
